Animation HUB presents: Young Audience Rating System

Animation HUB is a new European platform dedicated to the promotion, visibility, and circulation of animated films, with a special focus on European animation. Initiated by CEE Animation, the platform connects creators, professionals, and audiences through curated film collections, editorial content, and industry activities that support animation culture beyond the festival circuit. The presentation by Animation HUB Project Manager Lucia Dubravay Trautenberger will introduce the platform and its activities.

The discussion will also present the Young Audience Rating System, developed on the initiative of Animation HUB in collaboration with media psychologist Martina Peštaj. Based on developmental psychology and film literacy, the system offers practical guidelines for creators, distributors, festivals, and educators working with children and young audiences. Together, Lucia Dubravay Trautenberger and Martina Peštaj will explore how animation can communicate meaningfully with different age groups through storytelling, humor, emotion, and visual language.
