Making an animated film is complex and painstaking, and a successful animator needs to be patient, obsessive and a somewhat fanatical – welcome to the animated world of Joanna Quinn! In this masterclass Joanna will be talking about her passion for animation and drawing. She will guide us through her creative journey, starting with her first animated fumblings, all the way through to her Oscar nominated film Affairs of the Art. In addition to showing clips and original artwork, Joanna will do some live animation, offering an insight into her approach to drawing and her own animation technique. A unique opportunity to see inside the weird and wonderful mind of an obsessed animator.
