Children of the Bird

Julia Tudisco

Julia Tudisco is a half-Hungarian, half-Italian animation filmmaker and illustrator based in Budapest. She completed her Master's in Animation at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in 2023, with her graduation short film, Children of the Bird. She has directed three other short films: Sirens, Oh Droplet, and Baby Steps. She was selected for the Animation Sans Frontières (ASF) program, where she developed her web series project, Tulip, which is currently in production in France. Her work is inspired by intuitive sketching, folk art, folktales, and naive drawings. She admires the way children draw and values art that feels pure and honest.
