Dennis Tupicoff

Dennis has made many films as writer, director, producer, and designer/animator. These have been fiction and documentary, animated and live-action, comedy and drama, and often inventive hybrids. Animated films such as Chainsaw (2007), His Mother's Voice (1997), Dance of Death (1983), The Darra Dogs (1993), Into the Dark (2001), A Photo of Me (2017) etc. have screened widely, and have won numerous awards. Career retrospectives have screened in Poznan, Krakow, Melbourne, Brisbane, Berkeley, Gothenberg, Kecskemet, and Seoul. Dennis has taught, presented his work and run workshops at many universities and film schools around the world. His book Life in Death: My Animated Films 1976-2020 was published by CRC Press in 2022.
