Sappho

Safo is an animated short film, inspired by the story and work of the poet from the Island of Lesbos, who lived in around 600 BC. Sappho's poems disappeared during history, but around 200 fragments remained, recently found in the sands of the Egyptian desert. The clear link with nature present in Sappho's poetry inspires the aesthetics and the narrative structure of the film, which translates, in images, some of her poems.
