b.1980 in Soviet Runo village, USSR. Graduated as a painter. Uses animation as an artist's tool, unlocking the potential for visual experiments and creating philosophical narratives and essays. His films were presented among others at Berlinale and got numerous awards. Works in collaboration with partner Nadya Svirskaia. Since 2022 based in Berlin. In 2024 he got the German Short film Prize for the Dull Spots of Greenish Colours as the best animation film.
