Synopsis
This is the story of Eugene / Eugenia Falleni, one of the first transgenders of the contemporary history. After the “accidental” murder of his first wife, Eugene constantly changes his identity, weds a second time, and lives his life until the law catches up to him.
Anaïs Caura graduated from ENSAD’s animated cinema section in 2011. After a spell of teaching, she made a residency at La Bande Vidéo in Quebec, as well as in Montreal’s Atelier Circulaire. She directed short films and institutional films for the Museum of Hunting and Nature, The Harlequin’s Films alongside Florence Miailhe, June 21, etc. She has been collaborating with 2P2L and My Fantasy since 2013, starting on Consomag, then making the new version of the animated and daily short program Désintox for Arte. In April 2017, she released the animated web-series of 10 episodes The Man-Woman Case for France Télévisions Nouvelles Ecritures.
