Paola Orlić

Paola Orlić is an art historian, curator and former producer of the World Festival of Animated Film - Animafest Zagreb, currently appointed as Head of the Department for Culture and Civil Society of the City of Pula. She graduated with a degree in art history and philosophy from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences University of Zagreb, and holds an MA from the College of Art, Ohio University, USA, with a focus on art and film. For more than two decades, she has produced film festivals, organized art events, curated exhibitions, wrote, edited and published art books, and participated in independent film projects. She wrote, edited and published several art monographs and collaborated with FoAM laboratory in Brussels on the long-term project PARN (Physical and Alternate Reality Narratives). She is an active member of Croatian Society of Art Historians (DPUH), Croatian Association of Artists of Applied Arts (ULUPUH) and Croatian Freelance Artists’ Associations (HZSU). As a program selector and jury member, she served at numerous international film festivals, galleries and museums around the world. As an independent candidate she has been elected as a member of the Pula City Council and from 2025 on she has been appointed as Pula City’s Head of the Department for Culture and Civil Society.
