Europa cinema will tomorrow at 5.30 pm become a place where Bill Plympton, the author of highly praised film Idiots and angels (which is a part of a Grand Competition program), will hold a Masterclass.
Bill Plympton has graduated Graphic design at Portland State University and has began his career creating cartoons for publications such as New York Times, National Lampoon, Playboy and Screw. In 1987. he was nominated for an Oscar for a short film Your face. After producing many shorts which appear on MTV and Spike and Mike's he turned his talent to features. Since 1991. he's made 9 feature films among which are Mutant Aliens and I Married A Strange Person. In 2005 he received another Oscar nomination, this time for a short film Guard Dog.
Everyone attending the Masterclass will become a part of Bills animation from the very moment of it's creation. Plympton also announced that he will be doing portraits of the anyone interested in having one signed by him. We believe there will be plenty of those around.
We would also like to announce Conversations with authors: Bill Plympton and Tom Moore the author of a film Brendan and the secret of Kells which will be held at the French Cultural Institute Mediatheque at 12:30.
