Synopsis

I made this film by combining 10 years worth of my memories and voices from interviews of my friends that trace my maternal awakening. I wanted to make this film enjoyable and extemporaneous, giving a different impression to each scene. I was worried about the last scene of the film. I am unfamiliar with true maternal feelings because I have no children. My opinion about it has changed a lot in the making of my film, mirroring the 10 years of trial and error in the process of making my films. That is why I made the ending so that each viewer can find their answers about motherhood and children.

Shiika Okada

Shiika Okada (1996, Tokyo, Japan) graduated from the Department of Intermedia Art, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2018. In addition to making animation, she also creates music and writes scripts. As of 2019, she is studying at the Department of Animation at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Film and New Media.
