Synopsis
An unusual friendship between a white Israeli woman and a black German, who for 22 years believed that they could rise above historical, political, and geographical obstacles, until it explodes right in their sarcastic faces.
Noa Berman-Herzberg is a screenwriter and film creator, a teacher at Bezalel Academy of Arts and a ‘serial pickler’ who hosts events that combine storytelling and culinary. Among her works are Mabul (directed by Guy Nattiv; winner of a special mention, Berlinale, 2011), based on their short Mabul (winner of the Crystal Bear in Berlinale 2002), Snowsalt (with Amit Cohen) and Holy Holocaust (with Osi Wald).
Osi Wald is an animation artist and lecturer. In her work, she explores the connections between dance and animation and alternative creative processes – collaborating with choreographers and other animators in creating live shows, installations and video dance. Osi was a key member of the animation team of Waltz With Bashir and The Congress by Ari Folman. Lecturer at Bezalel Academy. Graduate of Bezalel Academy, Animation department, and of the Hebrew University Jerusalem, Physics and math department.
