Synopsis

What is it like to be a girl in a boys' world? Six girls share their own experiences playing women’s football in a male-dominated sport. Their stories are told by different animation techniques to explore various narrative possibilities.

Paola Sorrentino

Paola Sorrentino is an illustrator and animator from Puglia, Italy. She is a graduate of ISIA Urbino’s MA in Illustration and animations. She likes to work with pens, ink, paint, oil pastels, or in general any object that can make her hands, clothes and everything around her dirty. She has a computer that she often fights with, but they always make peace in the end. In 2020 she made her first short film Ligne rouge et ligne noir (2020) followed by Girls Talk about Football (2021).
