Synopsis
Something grew out of the cracks and walls and occupied all the empty spaces in a little Mediterranean city. This short film is about the gentrification of a place that has recently become a live archeological site thanks to severe touristification.
Lucija Bužančić (1989) is an animator, illustrator and art historian from Split. In 2008 she began studying Archaeology and Art History at the Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She graduated from the Department of Art History (Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) in 2014 and from the Department of Animation (Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts) in 2017 with the animated film Process. Her graduation film took her to several international film festivals and finally included her among VAF New Talents (today CEE Animation Talents) for 2018. Today she is based in Zagreb as an independent author, animator and illustrator.
