Synopsis

One evening a prison director announces to a convict he’s being executed the next day. As if by a miracle later that night his cell door opens. Exhausted by endless interrogations, the convict drags on through the dark prison corridors. On his odyssey to gain freedom he is tossed back and forth by various mental states: his fear of being discovered, his hope for salvation and moments of sheer madness.

Christoph Büttner

Born in 1986 in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, Christoph Büttner didn’t have a clue of his artistic career for a very long time. He worked as a Deutsche Telekom technican, graduated in media technology, has been a call center agent and finally animated computer games. Filmuniversity Babelsberg Konrad Wolf was his lifesaver in 2015. There he delved into side streams of film making. Six years and two kids later he climbed out of the animation dungeon, glady gasping for air: His first movie was finished! It is examplary for his special interest: achieving analogue styles with digital means.
