Synopsis
When protests broke out in Communist Poland in late 1970, a crisis team gathered in Warsaw. Soon after the militia made use of their batons. Shots were fired. Through archival recordings and animations, viewers are able to observe various power mechanisms. The film 1970is a story about a rebellion but told from the perspective of the oppressors.
Member of Guild of Polish Documentary Directors, Polish Film Academy and European Film Academy, Tomasz Wolski directed short film Daughter (Grand Prix at Angers Premiers Plan) and directed, edited, and filmed 13 documentaries awarded at many international festivals like Visions du Réel, Los Angeles Film Festival, Palm Springs Film Festival, Punto de Vista, Camerimage and Krakow Film Festival.
