Milen Alempijević (1965) is a writer and a publicist. He is also a founder and artistic director of the international animation festival Animanima in Čačak, Serbia. He authored a film study The Day Miles Davis Disappeared: Jazz and Film Narration (2016) and a book of essays on the animated film The Art of Exaggeration: Notes from a Spectator (2014). He was an editor of the DVD edition After 2000: Contemporary Serbian Animation (2016), and an author of double edition No. 183-184 of the Gradac magazine (2012) dedicated to jazz. Regularly publishes articles and essays on animation, film and jazz in national and international periodicals and special editions. Milen held multiple multimedia lectures on Jazz and Animated Film at several European animated film festivals in Serbia, Slovenia, Romania, Slovakia, Portugal and Spain. He works at the Cultural Centre of Čačak as the editor of the Film and Video Program.
