Synopsis
This animated documentary is the story of the Velvet Underground’s disastrous first public performance. While on stage for merely 20 minutes, the Velvet Underground performed three songs: There She Goes, Venus in Furs, and Heroin. The Summit High School audience responded with, as a band member recalled in 1983, a “murmur of surprise that greeted the appearance” which “increased to a roar of disbelief as the band started to play” and then “swelled to a mighty howl of outrage and bewilderment...” Half the audience walked out.
Tony C. Jannelli was born on June 7, 1950 in Summit, New Jersey, USA. He is known for his work on The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Independence Day (1996) and Longtime Companion (1989).
Writer/Director of several award-winning shorts and a feature length film, Robert Pietri has been working on commercial/media related projects since graduating from NYU Grad Film program.
