Synopsis
Almost 80 years separate Rosa and Molly, however their love of ice-cream connects the two magically. Can anyone imagine a time when something that wonderful was completely unknown around here? Rosa can. She looks back on her first few summers of ice-cream love. The 20th century was still in its early days when Italian mountaineers conquered Germany with a sensation: Gelato! Tiny stalls grew into beautiful ice cream shops; but suddenly the Italians turned into war enemies. The love story between Rosa and Paolo ended before the seventh summer even started. Until little Molly decides to take matters into her own hands almost 80 years later. Gelato deals with bits of German migration history.
