Synopsis
A terrible industrial accident changes little Dinki’s life forever. Now Dinki’s fate may ride on the wings of her eccentric friend Birdboy, a misfit who hides in the Dead Forest lost in his fantasies...
Pedro Rivero (Bilbao, 1969) is a producer, director and screenwriter. Screenwriter for several TV animated series and for the feature film Goomer (Goya Award for the Best Spanish Animated Feature Film in 1999). Producer, director and screenwriter of La Crisis Carnívora (2007), the first Spanish feature film in flash animation for theatres. He is author of theatrical plays and comic books, and his films include Psiconautas, the Forgotten Children (2015); Birdboy (2010, Goya Award for the Best Spanish Animated Short Film 2012, preselected for the Academy Awards longlist, more than 40 awards and 200 selections); La crisis carnívora (Animal Crisis, 2007).
Alberto Vázquez is an animation director, illustrator and cartoonist. His books and comics have been published in countries like Spain, France, Italy, Brazil and Korea. He has written and directed the short animations Birdboy and Unicorn Blood based on his comics. His work has been nominated on two occasions for the Goya Awards, winning the Goya Best Animated Short Film in 2012. He has won over 60 awards at international festivals and his works have been screened at prestigious festivals worldwide such as Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, Animafest Zagreb or Slamdance. He just finished his first feature film Psychonauts, the Forgotten Children, co-directed with Pedro Rivero, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Vázquez himself.
