Synopsis
Fabricia enters an abandoned building and her presence seems to give life to the place. Soon, she discovers that the space is ruled by strange machines that trap her inside. She will only gain freedom through the power of her unique imagination.
Cecilia Traslaviña works as a professor at the Department of Visual Arts at the Javeriana University in Bogotá, Colombia. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Literature at the same university. She has been member of the jury at some national and international animation film festivals including Animateka festival in Ljubljana in 2015 and Etiuda&Anima, festival in Cracow. She recently finished Perpetuum Mobile, a documentary that explores the relation between animation and art. She has been actively involved in supporting the development of Colombian and Latin American animation at events such as Animamundi, Brazil (2004), and the Sixth International Short Film Festival Re-Animacja, Lodz, Poland (2009). In 2011, she was invited to the Colombian Avant-Garde Animation event, at the University of Southern California (USA, 2011). She also held a speech about Latin American Animation at PAF: Festival of Film Animation in Olomoc, Czech Republic (2014). Her works have been selected at various animation events in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Austria and Canada.
She is an active member of the website Moebius Animation, which aims to present the development of the Latin American experimental animation.
