Synopsis

A hapless country doctor describes with breathless urgency how he was one night summoned to attend a young patient. The events soon take on a surreal aspect as "unearthly horses" transport him instantaneously to the bedside. Multi-awarded Koji Yamamura (1964) is one of the best known Japanese animation directors. Educated as a painter, he developed his style using drawings creating undulating surrealist animation.
