These people will develop their own video game within Animafest!
06/03/2015

It has been decided on the participants who will develop their own video game within Animafest Zagreb. They will work in teams, menthored by an artist and designer Mario von Rickenbach (Zurich University of the Arts), Aleksandra Čereković (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing - FER) and Darko Masnec (Academy of Fine Arts).

Vedrana Čolić, Marko Kostervajn, Eugen Zvonimir Čanić and Martin Babić will work in Team 1, Stanislav Crnić, Teon Banek, Marko Pinjuh and Mia Murat will work in Team 2, Niko Mikuličić, Kruno Tomola Fabro, Petra Balekić and Jana Tomljanović in Team 3, and  Denis Mendica, Martina Bastalić, Ivo Katunarić and Helena Klakočar in Team 4.

The workshop starts on Monday, 8 June, at 9 o'clock, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. Teams will be formed at the introductory lecture on 8 June 2015, 9am at FER’s lab A109.

The planned workshop duration is 8 hours a day, from 9am to 5pm. The students will have computer equipment at their disposal, but each student is also free to bring their own laptop. Another this year’s novelty, apart from the mentoring ‘backup’ from Zurich, is that the participants will be guaranteed passes for Animafest 2015’s programme.

The workshop participants will be divided into small teams of designers and programmers to develop their own video game and present it on Saturday, 13 June.

Continuing the affirmation of video games as an equal medium of aesthetic creativity and meeting point of animation art and digital technology, Animafest Zagreb organizes the workshop for the third time, in association with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Academy of Fine Arts and Creative Europe Desk – MEDIA Office.
