Synopsis

A look at the life on the Mediterranean borders of Europe, where tourists try to relax while "illegal" immigrants struggle for a chance of a better life. Breaking out of a strictly confined tourist zone, two Swiss children experience quickly that reality here has very little to do with the posh life in their camping site. A storm hits the shore and washes away almost all distinctions between the rich and the poor.

Michaela Müller

Swiss-born director Michaela Müller received her diploma as fine arts teacher from the HSLU, University of Applied Sciences and Arts, in 1998. Her professional experience includes work as in-betweener, illustrator, painter, and in the props production of the Luzerner Theater. In 2005, she moved to Croatia. Miramare is her graduation film at the Department of Animation and New Media of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.
