Synopsis

Jankovics’s cutting-edge masterpiece Son of the White Mare is an adaptation of the ancient legends of the early nomadic Steppe people, such as the Huns and the Avars. Being a radical example of the ornamental style, the film produces a dreamlike visual world, created from the continuous metamorphoses, changing of colours, and a kaleidoscope of entrancing motifs.
