Laurent Crouzeix first joined the team of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 1995 after studying Literature and Translation at Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont-Ferrand) and Goldsmiths College (London). In charge of international development, Laurent was main programmer for the International Competition (1998-2017) and curated several major retrospectives. Laurent launched Shortfilmdepot.com in 2004 together with Roger Gonin. In 2009, he created Euro Connection coproduction forum as part of the Short Film Market. Laurent acquired training as a filmmaker through continuing education at La Fémis (2009) and Les Gobelins (2017). He wrote and directed his debut stop motion short Amerigo and the New World together with Chilean director Luis Briceño. He is currently developing a story in live action, and a hybrid project.
