The acceleration, as well as the repetition mark the current days, being perceived both in the creation and in the enjoyment of the image. Its most instant and repetitive form of representation is the gif, which acts as a device analogous to the first moving images of the century XIX, with short durations, immediate narratives and in constant looping. Often taken from low-resolution images on the internet (also a public space, even though it is virtual), gifs re-signify them and remove possible narrative aspects. It starts from the idea that the looping is represented according to the support, being able to be two-dimensional in low reliefs or in time, with the animated image. This representation is accelerating at the present time, whether due to the ease of production or the range of visibility devices. The public space increasingly uses devices with animated images, and soon the looping as a way of not losing a moment of the attention of passers-by. The repetition exposed in space produces a symptom of alienation from the consuming body, but also attentive to the overflow of images. Increasingly agile and repetitive, these images may be shaping a new type of postmodern landscape: transitory and unnoticed, affecting more the peripheral field of vision. How to deal with this animated image that draws more attention than architecture, the city's historical device?
