The 26th edition of the World Festival of Animated Film ends tonight with the award ceremony and a screening of all the award-winning films at 7pm, Europa cinema. But before the closing ceremony, at 4.30pm, Zagreb Dance Centre, the audience will have a chance to meet the makers of video games who participated at the video game workshop, held for the fourth time in association with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) and the Academy of Fine Arts (ALU), University of Zagreb.
Mentored by Andrej Kovačević, the founder of Exordium games, at the workshop, 6-10 June, the participants were introduced to the entire process of developing, making and launching video games. The results are four outstanding works, the finest of which will get a special prize – a Lenovo laptop.
The finalists for this year’s flattering title and sponsorship prize are: Dog Vito Corlebone by Lea Vučko and Damir Grbanović, Moro the Vampire by Karmela Gudiček and Mislav Požek, Sleep Tight by Sandra Kuzmić and Domagoj Bogdan, and neBITno by Ivan Grobenski.
Everyone is invited to take a look and try them out at the Zagreb Dance Centre, starting from 4.30pm.
At 9.30pm, the same space is hosting a presentation of the results of the second this year’s tech workshop – the projection mapping workshop, mentored during the festival by the author of this year’s festival trailer and visual materials Tea Stražičić and programmer and visual artist Goran Goldin.
Admission to both events is free.
