In 2018, TED-Ed launched an animated poetry series called There's a Poem for That. In the first season, they worked with award-winning animation filmmakers to animate 12 spoken word and classical poems.
"As we return to Animafest this year, excited to be surrounded by this vibrant community of talented designers, animators, and filmmakers, we would like to open up the series and commission two poems from Animafest attendees." - Gerta Xhelo, producer.
We invite all of you to participate in this competition. To be considered, please submit 2-3 design frames and a short director's treatment/ proposal (no longer than 100 words).
You may submit a treatment for one of the two following poems:
Jabberwocky (Lewis Carroll)
The Chariot (Emily Dickinson)
To apply, please use our online application form.
