With the aim of creating synergy between theoretical and practical discourse among filmmakers and scholars, the second Animafest Scanner II 2015 international symposium takes place 10 and 11 June 2015, and international film and media researchers are invited to present the latest findings in the field of animation.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Giannalberto Bendazzi, the famous film theorist, critic and professor, also the first winner of Animafest’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Animation Studies. Applications for participation at the symposium are open until 1 March 2015.
Animafest Scanner II 2015 is organised in association with ASIFA Austria, with the support of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb, AG Animation Media Studies Society (GfM), Department for Theatre, Film and Media of the University of Vienna, and Webster University from Vienna.
