CAROLINA LÓPEZ CABALLERO holds a Licentiate in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and a Degree in Animation from WSCAD/UCA (Farnham, England). As the Artistic Director of Animac Lleida, Spain’s leading animation festival, and curator at Animario Madrid, she plays a key role in promoting animation. Her curatorial projects include Metamorphosis: Fantasy Visions of Starewitch, Švankmajer, and the Quay Brothers, produced by CCCB and La Casa Encendida, and From Doodles to Pixels: Over 100 Years of Animation in Spain, screened at MoMA and 35+ international venues. Her writings on animation appear in books, newspapers, and magazines. A frequent lecturer at museums, festivals, and universities, she has served as a jury member for animation festivals such as Annecy and Ottawa and animation funds. She is also a consultant-curator for ‘Animation from Spain’, a program under ICEX, the Spanish government’s trade agency.
