Since September 2007, the ASIFA Austria association has had the opportunity to regularly organise exhibitions in an unusual showroom at the MuseumsQuartier Wien, the ASIFAKEIL. With the aim of presenting the joint aspects of visual arts and animation in both a national and international context, 130 exhibitions have been organised over the years. This showroom has enabled a large number of animation artists working in Austria to realise their own ideas in this intermediary field of work freely and without constraints. The publication Animating Art uses interviews and text contributions by relevant authors to shed light on the subject of animation as an artistic medium and thus on ASIFAKEIL.
