Synopsis

A modern version of the medieval German legend about a rat catcher who punishes the sinful and impudent city of Hamelin. It is one of the most complex animated films ever made. The original legend is only a foundation for an entirely new, exceptional work of art from an artistic and cinematic perspective. The film has earned its place among the masterpieces of Czech and world animation.
