Synopsis
This is the first part of a series of cinematic notes on everyday life happenings. Looking outside, a man sitting in a café sees men carrying all sorts of things. He wonders why, as one feels much better going about carrying nothing.
Jochen Kuhn (1954, Wiesbaden) studied Fine Arts in Hamburg. He has worked in film since 1971, as a writer, painter, composer, cameraman, and director. In his films, he approaches everyday stories with contemplation, irony, and humour. His work has been shown worldwide at numerous festivals. Kuhn is a member of the Academy of Arts in Berlin and the German Film Academy. He teaches at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg. Selected filmography: Hotel Acapulco (1987), the five-part series Recently (1999-2004), the three-part series Sunday (2005-2012).
