But what if the hotel isn’t as stellar as promised, your room has a bit of a naughty view, the dinner is surprisingly exotic and your luggage travels independently? Family above all!

Martin Smatana

Martin Smatana (1991, Slovakia) holds an MA in Animation from FAMU, Prague. During his BA studies, he completed an internship at Nukufilm studio in Tallinn, Estonia. His debut film, Rosso Papavero, premiered at Berlinale in 2015 and went on to win 13 international awards. The Kite is his graduation film. It premiered at Berlinale in 2019.

Veronika Zacharová

Veronika Zacharová is a graphic artist, illustrator and animator working in both commercial and independent field. She studied graphic design at Uherské Hradiště and Brno, from which she moved to animation department at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, where she made most of her short animated films, some of which won festival awards. In her own work, Veronika is mostly focused on children.
