Synopsis
Linda is unfairly punished by her mother, Paulette, who will do anything to make it up to her. Even a chicken with peppers although she doesn't know how to cook. Linda absolutely wants to have the chicken that her father made that day... But how will she find a chicken on the day of a general strike?
Chiara Malta has directed several short films, co-written or animated by Sebastien Laudenbach, from fiction to animation and documentary, and has won prizes in many international festivals. After her feature-length documentary, Armando e la politica, aired on ZDF/ARTE opening the section Lo Stato delle Cose at the Torino Film Festival, she was invited as an artist in residence at the French Academy in Rome (Villa Medici).
Sébastien Laudenbach is a director, animator, illustrator and teacher at ENSAD (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs). Author of a dozen short films that have circulated in more than 80 international festivals and won numerous prizes. With his feature film The girl without hands (2016) presented in Cannes, awarded in Annecy and finalist for the French academy awards César, Sébastien Laudenbach develops a singular, lively and moving style, with a very cost effective approach.
