Synopsis
Blossomis an experimental animation using mixed media, including 2D digital animation and stop-motion. The whole film is divided into four parts and uses the four seasons as the timeline. This project is made to praise nature and life through the blooming of a flower, to show that every tiny form of life has enormous power. Life originates from nature and finally returns to nature. Every form of life is worth praising, from a small insect to a large whale.
Chang Guo is an animator and illustrator from China who studied digital media art before she started her MA in Animation at the Royal College of Art. She enjoys building imaginative worlds and creating stories with 2D digital animation, stop-motion, zines and all funny art forms. She tends to use vivid colors and poetic expressions in her works. She hopes what she creates can provide people with a soft and warm space and bring them inner peace and joy.
