Cinematographer and media artist Ivan Slipčević was born in 1979 and graduated at the Department of Film and TV Cinematography of the Academy of Dramatic Art. In 2000 he became an active member of the Multimedia Institute and launched an informal sound and image design studio zvukbroda. Since then he has hosted many music and video production workshops. Since 2004 he has been working in film, video, sound, electronic performances, he was the DoP on many experimental and installation films and co-authored the project Zvukospjevi. Since 2019 he manages the Klubvizija art organisation, active in the field of analogue and photochemical film, film programmes and workshops on 16mm film. Ivan Slipčević’s artistic work in film practice is experimental and documentary, he questions the medium of film, both digital and analogue, light and texture of the light record. He explores the possibilities of cinematographic and photographic practice and the visual medium as an artistic language. His works often include collective collaborations, researches and re-evaluations of cinematic language.
