Tara Stanić (Zagreb, 1998) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Department of Art Education, Graphic Arts, in the class of Professor Igor Čabraja. Through animation, graphic design, illustration, comics, and painting, she explores the grotesque, the fantastical, alienation, and solitude. She uses narration to combine the unusual, the eerie, and the humorous. She has held solo exhibitions at the ‘Do you know there are dimensions with different outcomes’ exhibition at the Galženica Gallery (2023), ‘Animals’ at the Polica Gallery, ALU (2023), and the ‘Only Dreams’ exhibition at Lauba (Project ‘Pass it on’, 2022). She has participated in group exhibitions in Zagreb (ALU, 2018-23, HDLU, 2022) and Antwerp (KASK, 2019, TICK TACK Gallery, 2020) where she resided as part of the Erasmus+ program (2019).
