Synopsis
The film depicts the director's childhood memories. Without a linear narrative structure, the interplay between discrete pictures reveals the memory of innocent childhood life in a remote, peaceful environment against the surrounding political affairs of post-revolutionary Iran.
Zahra Salarnia is an Iranian artist currently living in New Zealand. She holds BA in film and animation and MPhil in art and design. She has worked as a visual effects artist and educator for over a decade. Her practice focuses on expanded animation to explore alternative and unconventional methods for making and presenting animation. Her works comprise analogue and digital techniques, synthesizing her technical VFX experiences and her passion for visual art, especially drawing.
