Synopsis

The film tells a story of a Man and a Woman that meet in a waiting room. The room has only a set of chairs, and a few indoor plants. Man and Woman slowly get closer to each other – he helps her take off her heavy, dark fur coat, which covers her naked body. Their game starts – a game of mutual seduction and unclothing, consisting of a series of caresses, which get more brutal and more violent in their intimacy. III is a portrait of a woman staying in an uneasy and exhausting relationship with a man, which allures her and repulses her at the same time. The film is the third part of the triptych Impossible Figures and other stories.

Marta Pajek

Marta Pajek (1982, Kielce, Poland) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where she specialised in animated film in the class of Jerzy Kucia. As part of an exchange programme, she studied at the Turku Arts Academy in the class of Priit Pärn. She made animated shorts After Apples, Next Door and Sleepincord. She lives and works in Krakow.
