Synopsis

In the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Paul runs a grain mill. This morning, he is feverish, which does not prevent him from grinding grain. The machine’s transmission belt breaks and that is a disaster. Paul sends Michel to Sakala to get a new belt. While he is hospitalised, he dialogues with his far-away lands.

Frédéric Hainaut

Frédéric Hainaut has been leading the animation workshop at Camera-etc since 2013. He is also teaching a course in animated film at the Arts College St-Luc in Liège. Before that, he worked at the Revers association (realisation of animated short films, organisation of exhibitions, of concerts, realisation of books, etc.). He studied animated film at the La Cambre National School of Visual Arts in Brussels. He has directed several shorts.
