Synopsis

The shocked family members interrogate babushka about how she met her new partner, who turns out to be an animated living skeleton, and babushka relaxedly but enthusiastically narrates the event.

Dean Hamer

Dean Hamer is a Croatian animator, illustrator and comic book artist. In 2021 he graduated in Animation and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. In 2019 he was the lead animator on the indie fan-made video game Detroit: 2034, and in 2020 he animated the introduction to The Cryptokiller. His short comics and covers have been published in student comic book fanzines Škola hodanja. For the alternative magazine OHOHO #2 he made a cover illustration and a short comic in 2020. In 2021 he created an educational animation about Rovinj’s scientist Aristocle Vatova with Italian high schoolers and the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Rovinj. During the 2022 Erasmus+ practice, he assisted in the Studio Meala team in Ireland.
