Synopsis

The film is a kind of reconstruction of the book I've read 12 years ago. I remember mostly the way it made an influence on me and the atmosphere it created, but when it comes to caracters and action in the book there are left only fragments. So I tried to put those fragments into some context in this short animation.

Petra Balekić

Petra Balekić (Đakovo, 1989) is a freelance artist working mostly in animation as director and animator, but she expresses herself in other art forms as well. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb: Department of Graphic Arts (2013) and Department of Animated Film and New Media (2017). She has made four animated films, some of which have received awards at various festivals. At the moment, she is writing and drawing her first picture book that should come out this year. In addition to working on audiovisual projects, she has years of experience in holding animation and art workshops. She has also had several solo and group exhibitions.
