Synopsis


On a late-night commuter bus, a necklace was stolen. This was followed by a tragic and fatal road accident, and a series of intriguing turn of events which revealed love, hatred, and vengeance. The film climaxes as the bus goes up in flames, burning and glittering against the dark coastal sky.

Joe Hsieh is an independent Taiwanese animation film director whose works frequently explore the dark side of human nature and are filled with thrilling suspense. His acclaimed films – Night Bus (2020), The Present (2014), and Meat Days (2008) – have won awards in the Taiwan Golden Horse and San Diego Asian Film Festivals, and were nominated at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Sundance, Milano, and Holland Animation Film Festival. He collaborated as Animation Director in Number 7 Cherry Lane (2019), a feature-length animation that won Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival.
