Synopsis
Twin sisters Mela and Zenia take a trip to spend a lazy summer evening together by the lake. Their bond is so close that there is no telling where one ends and the other begins... each verges on being both the greatest blessing and saddest burden for the other.
Sara Szymańska (1996) is a Polish film director and animator. Her short film Five Minutes Older (2021) has attracted international attention, having been screened at, apart from many others, the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival and the New Directors/New Films Festival at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In both cases, her film was the only Polish film in the program. The film has also won the Grand Prix award at the Animator festival in Poznań. Currently, apart from animated film, she is translating her aesthetics into photography and poetry, while she finishes her studies with a year abroad at the animation department at École des arts décoratifs in Paris.
