Prime Render Studio Presentation

Members of Prime Render Studio will present three of their projects in different stages of production. The first is a feature animated film, Snovozemlje, whose creative team among others includes screenwriter Pedro Rivero and illustrator and painter Dave Cooper. Pedro Rivero will also be participating in the presentation. The team will also present the animated VR film project, Dislocation, as well as the challenges of making a VR-animation and transforming the film into a classical animated film. The third project featured in the presentation is a 2D-animation film under the working title U malu je uša đava, which is an adaptation of the eponymous book by Croatian author Tisja Kljaković Braić.

Milivoj Popović, Veljko Popović, Pedro Rivero
Milivoj Popović (1979) was born in a small and sunny town of Split, Croatia. He discovered his interest in computer graphics back in Amiga500 days, creating his first digital images in Deluxe Paint Pro! He is a co-founder of the award-winning studio Lemonade3D, which received over 50 international awards, including the Oscar-qualifying Animated Eye Award at Aspen Shortsfest and the FIPRESCI Prize at Annecy. His works were published in EXPOSÉ 8, EXPOSÉ 9, EXPOSÉ 11, Animation Reporter Magazine, HDRI 3D magazine, LightWave 3d Newsletter, InCG Magazine, featured in brochures and loaders for NewTek LightWave 3D, Autodesk Mudbox, etc.
Veljko Popović (1979) graduated from the Department of Painting, Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2003. Since 1998, he has pursued computer graphics professionally. A co-founder of 2D and 3D design and animation studio Lemonade3d. He teaches animation at the Arts Academy in Split, Croatia. His films have been selected and awarded at many international festivals, including Annecy, Animafest, Clermont-Ferrand, Aspen, Hiroshima, Leeds, Stuttgart, etc. He has also been a jury member at several festivals.
Pedro Rivero (Bilbao, 1969) is a producer, director and screenwriter. Screenwriter for several TV animated series and for the feature film Goomer (Goya Award for the Best Spanish Animated Feature Film in 1999). Producer, director and screenwriter of La Crisis Carnívora (2007), the first Spanish feature film in flash animation for theatres. Author of theatrical plays and comic books. Filmography as director: Psiconautas, theForgotten Children (2015), animated feature film; Birdboy (2010), animated short film (Goya Award for the Best Spanish Animated Short Film 2012, preselected for the Academy Awards (longlist), more than 40 awards and 200 selections); La crisis carnívora (Animal Crisis, 2007), animated feature film. He also co-wrote the screenplay for the Spanish hit film The Platform (2019).
