Synopsis
In a small hotel, a man is trying to appease his hunger for love by excessive eating. But his longing for his beloved Suzanne will not be soothed by plates full of meat cuts, vegetables and fruit. When he goes to town in search of food, he accidentally hurts his foot, which unexpectedly transforms into Suzanne. The two become inseparable. A surreal adaptation of Roland Topor’s short novel about loneliness, jealousy and love.
Izabela Plucińska was born in Poland and is now living in Germany. She studied fine arts and film as an undergraduate and completed her PhD in the field of animation at the National Film School in Lodz. Plucińska has some fifteen films to her credit, including Jam Session (2005), which won a Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, Esterhazy (2009), Sexy Laundry (2015), and Portrait of Suzanne (2019). Currently she is teaching at the Academy of Art in Szczecin Poland while being busily working at her own production company, ClayTraces Berlin.
