Synopsis

Music video for the song Man in the Moon by German DJ LCAW, directed by Hungarian-Polish director Tomek Ducki, transforms the Moon into a mobile object, a ball chased by a couple of youths on a motorbike, which can be captured, disintegrated, and put together again as a symbol of love. The film is in line with Ducki’s early works, characterised by a structuralist approach to movement, be it dance, sports like figure-skating or swimming, types of animal and human behaviour, or something else. Ducki’s work is also notable for his functional approach to design and use of the corresponding colours (his sense for colours and reflections, as well as movement, is what made him famous), after which he only uses the most essential elements necessary for establishing the desired dynamic. (Silvestar Mileta)
