Dea Jagić was born in Zagreb. She finished School of Applied Arts and Design and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Animation and New Meda Department. She has collaborated on various projects as animator, designer, illustrator, director and teacher for stop motion workshops.  In 2015 she finished her first film Wake Me Up, and in 2018. Past is Growing. She's currently working on her third film.
