Synopsis
Hector, a night guard at the Museum of Natural History rushes to work and forgets to turn off the bathtub faucet, accidentally flooding New York City. As the museum exhibits come to life, the blue whale and the giant squid push the Museum towards the open ocean. Hector’s daughter Melissa comes to his rescue. She dives underwater and receives an evolution lecture from a Coelacanth fish. The museum is returned to safety, Hector closes the faucet and cleans up the mess to Melissa’s amusement.
Milan Trenc (1962) graduated in graphic arts and film direction. He has worked in publishing and film. In 1991, he moved to New York where he created over a thousand illustrations and various covers for major American newspapers and magazines. He has received prestigious awards for his illustrations. His children’s book, The Night at the Museum (1993), was adapted for the screen in 2006 and became a Twentieth Century Fox blockbuster. He is currently teaching film direction at the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, as well as making animated films, illustrations, and writing.
